1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing Hello Mechanic through our website or mobile application (together, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the Platform.
2. What Hello Mechanic Is
Hello Mechanic is a discovery and listing service. We help vehicle owners locate nearby mechanic shops, towing services, tyre and battery assistance, and related repair businesses, primarily during a breakdown.
Important: We do not repair vehicles, employ mechanics, or supply parts. We are not a party to any agreement you make with a mechanic shop. Every repair, quotation, price, timeline and payment is agreed directly between you and that shop.
3. No Payments Through the Platform
Hello Mechanic is free to use. We do not collect payments, take bookings, hold deposits, or process transactions of any kind. Any amount you pay for a repair or service is paid directly to the mechanic shop, on terms you agree with them. Please see our Payments & Refunds page for detail.
4. Eligibility and Your Account
You may browse shop listings without an account. Creating an account is optional and required only for features such as saving favourites or managing a profile. You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or guardian.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials confidential. Please notify us at admin@hellomechanic.org if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Listing Information and Accuracy
Shop details — including names, addresses, phone numbers, working hours and services offered — are supplied by the shops themselves or gathered from public sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings current, but we do not warrant that any listing is accurate, complete, or that a shop is open, available, licensed or qualified at the time you contact it. Please verify details directly with the shop.
6. Location Data
With your permission, we use your device location to show mechanic shops near you. You may refuse or withdraw this permission at any time through your device settings, though search results will then be limited. Our handling of location and other personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable Use
When using the Platform, you agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, including fake listings or reviews
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of any applicable Indian law
- Scrape, copy, resell or systematically extract listing data
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its servers or other user accounts
- Interfere with, disrupt or place unreasonable load on the Platform infrastructure
- Harass, threaten or abuse mechanic shops, other users, or our staff
We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Hello Mechanic name, logo, interface, text and design are owned by THAKUR ENTERPRISES and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce or reuse them without our written permission. Shop names and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may modify, suspend or withdraw any feature. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform and the services of any listed shop.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, THAKUR ENTERPRISES shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from:
- The quality, safety, timeliness, pricing or outcome of any repair or service you obtain
- Any dispute, loss or injury arising between you and a mechanic shop
- Inaccurate, outdated or unavailable listing information
- Any interruption, delay or unavailability of the Platform
Because the Platform is provided free of charge and we collect no payment from you, no monetary claim arises against us in connection with your use of it.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless THAKUR ENTERPRISES against any claim, demand or expense arising from your misuse of the Platform or your breach of these Terms or of any applicable law.
12. Third-Party Links and App Stores
The Platform may link to third-party websites, maps and services, and our mobile application is distributed through Google Play. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties, and their own terms apply to your use of them.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version takes effect when published on this page, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the Platform after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Solan, Himachal Pradesh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.
